My Holidays - 2012

{snowflakes / fur hoods / forever 21 floral scarves}

Hellooooo! I just wanted to say happy holidays to all of my lovely readers and visitors on the blog today, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or no special holiday at all.. just cherish this time you have and spend it with lovely family and friends, and catch up on the good things and memories through 2012. My siblings and I played a long game of Cranium for the first time and it was so much fun. I see them at home multiple times a day, but we never actually take the time to sit down and do something fun together. That's what I like about this time of the year - it's all about the togetherness with loved ones. Enjoy this time while it lasts :)

{my living room decorated for the season}

{snowy roads & three birds on a berry bush outside of my front window}

{table decorations / traditional Christmas Polish foods - lots of fish and borscht}

{a Polish tradition - my siblings and mom breaking oplatek with each other. it's basically a blessed wafer that we receive from family members in Poland, and it is shared with other family members while exchanging best wishes between each other}

{festive banister decorations - red/green/gold!}

{girls night out with my beautiful friends! i'm on the far right}

Now for some presents! We'll start with the mocha and moccasins...

{when in doubt - give starbuck's giftcards! i'll take 'em all!}

{aerie polka dot moccasin inspired slippers - so comfy!}

{nail polish from my sister and the Cake lotion I bought for my sister}

{'Skyfall' by OPI and 'repstyle' by Essie}

{holiday baking ft. chocolate dusted meringues, pink peppermint meringue and vanilla meringues - recipe coming soon! my family devoured these. I found three other holiday recipes on my blog - candy cane shortbread from this year, and last year's candy cane peppermint bark and sugar cookies}

{snow... and lot's of it! i love winter}

Enjoy your holidays! and expect a meringue recipe post coming soon :)

Q: What is your favorite part about this time of the year? Do you have any special family traditions?
